VESA monitor fixing standards

The Video & Electronics Standards Association of USA (VESA) has issued suggested standards for the attachment mounting systems for electronic visual displays. This is how the mount attaches to the display itself.
Whilst these standards are quite detailed the basic details of the standards involve the size of the display and the relevant spacing and sizing of the hole to mount the display.
Screen Size
12 inch (305mm) to 23 inch (583mm) displays (most computer monitors)
Hole pattern:
- 75mm (3") X 75mm(3") or
- 100mm(4") X 200mm(8") 100mm(4") X 100mm(4")
- 6 holes M4 4 holes M4
23 inch (584mm) to 30.9 inch (787mm) displays
Hole pattern:
- 75mm (3") X 75mm(3") or
- 100mm(4") X 100mm(4")
31inch (787mm) to 90inch (2286mm) increments of 8 inches (200mm)
Hole pattern:
- Up to 50 kg M6
- Over 50 kg M8
For all non VESA compliant displays customers should identify the adjustability of the mounting holes configuration before ordering.
