Why is BIM (Building Information Modelling) important?

The tempo of the office refurbishment and construction industry is changing rapidly with the Government’s announcement that all Public Sector projects need to be implemented using the BIM approach by the end of 2016.

BIM (Building Information Modelling) is a step change to the traditional ways of working and employs a far more collaborative line, and utilises a ‘3D only’ methodology when it comes to designing buildings.

This fundamental change of approach means that our clients are demanding higher quality information from us, so we all have to change the way in which we support them. This new methodology means that buildings can be designed smarter, faster, cheaper and with less impact on the planet.

Our Orangebox range of office furniture and partitions totally supports this new way of working and has taken proactive steps by becoming the first UK manufacturer to offer its portfolio in open source Revit format BIM ready files.
